Charlotte specialises in employment law and commercial litigation.
Employment
Charlotte has gained experience in a wide range of employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract, redundancy, unlawful deductions from wages, restrictive covenants and injunctions. She is regularly instructed to advise, draft pleadings and appear in tribunals across the country. Recent cases include Johns v Solent SD [2008] EWCA Civ 790 in the Court of Appeal (led by Adam Solomon) and a 5 day unfair dismissal and race discrimination case.
Commercial
Charlotte has experience in a range of commercial matters. She is regularly instructed to advise, draft pleadings and appear in a variety of contractual and other disputes including enforcement proceedings, and has appeared both in county courts and the High Court. Recent cases include acting as junior counsel in an unlawful means conspiracy claim, and applying for injunctive relief in relation to a possession order.
Before pupillage Charlotte gained commercial litigation experience working in the IP department of a leading London law firm on a complex and long-running multi-jurisdictional patent dispute.
