Case involving allegations of fraudulent inducing the client to enter in to contracts to purchase about 15 race horses from the leading racing auctioneers. After an unsuccessful attempt by the auctioneers to strike out, the case settled on strict terms as to confidentiality.

Further cases concerning racehorse purchases from auctioneers in England and Ireland involving:

  • misrepresentations/fraud/dishonesty;
  • contractual construction;
  • terms/exclusions of liability
