LORD DAVID HACKING

 

Lord David Hacking is a Chartered Arbitrator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London. For the last 40 years, practising as a Barrister at Law and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court, he has undertaken numerous commercial litigation and arbitration cases.

He was educated at Cambridge University and the Inns of Court School of Law where he was awarded by the Middle Temple a Harmsworth Major Entrance Exhibition (1960) and an Astbury Scholarship (1963).

David Hacking  practises from Littleton Chambers and undertakes appointments as counsel, arbitrator and mediator in commercial arbitrations and mediations.

    Arbitration & Mediation Appointments

Appointed as Arbitrator by ICC, AAA/ICDR, LCIA, GAFTA, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Hungarian Court of Arbitration and as Mediator by the AAA, LCIA, CIArb and the City Disputes Panel.

On the International Arbitration Panels of ICDR (the International Centre for Dispute Resolution in New York), SIAC (the Singapore International Arbitration Centre), and KLRCA (the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration).

Over 140 Arbitration Awards issued since joining Littleton Chambers in January 2000. As well as conducting general commercial arbitrations, has conducted arbitrations in the aviation, commodities, construction, energy, information technology, maritime, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and water industries
