John Mehrzad, acting as a member of the CAS advocates panel, successfully represented Christophe Lecourt in English and French before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Lausanne, in an appeal against M. Lecourt's non-selection as an international referee by the European Volleyball Federation, purportedly due to level of his Body Mass Index and abdominal circumference.
